What will we offer Him as a present today?

Proverbs 23:24
The father of a righteous man has great joy; he who has a wise son delights in him.

I recall one rainy afternoon when my dad and I were walking. I guess I had an afinity for stepping in puddles. Even when I wasn't trying I did and my dad would get so upset.

Yet I know he would not have traded any of those moments for the world because my father adored me. I was his only son and even though I did stupid little things like that he had great joy in me.

My memories are filled with special moments with my dad and even though its been years since he left to be with the Lord those memories are refreshed everyday as I interact with my own children.

I know not all people have that kind of relationship with their fathers but there is your Father in Heaven.

He is a Father that delights in you, even if you've stepped in one too many puddles, he still adores you. He can't wait until the next opportunity he has to bless you.

Today on Father's Day let's recognize our Father in Heaven whose name is worthy to be praised. He loves us so much he sacrificed his only son so that we may live a life of victory with the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us.
