Let's be bold today!
Psalm 103:13
As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
The dictionary defines compassion as: "a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering."
In other words, its not just feeling sorry for someone but doing something about it.
So let's think about a challenge today. Imagine that you had a good friend, perhaps your best friend. Perhaps you grew up together. Years ago he bought stock and now he has millions of dollars. He has told you time after time that he would help you with anything. All you need to do is ask and he would provide.
How many of us would have a hard time asking for help? The thought of it would bring shame and embarrassment to most of us. We would see it as a matter of pride and look at asking for help as utter defeat.
Likewise we have a Father in Heaven who has all the resources in the world at His disposal. Do we boldly approach his throne to ask for help or do we wrap ourselves in pride to hide our shame and embarrassment?
Let's be bold today!
